HOW WE SEE THINGS. "John Berger´s" comment
"Living with necessity is the enigma of existence"( John Berger). According to the text, Berger concern about how the growth of demand for visual representations has debased the product, is one of most important points in the excerpt. Now at days we think that getting "better" a product or an object means to make it seem more beautiful or harmonious but i agree with John about making not the typical stuff and focus in making something more itself in order to become more unique. Is important to see that any kind of art is an affirmation of visible, this depends on any persons perspective. Certainly we think that a painting or an object falls into subjectivity but if this is real :why people buy names rather than works?(John Berger´s quote). The answer is in the lecture, the unique art is the one that is better, it has to be different and has to broke schemes to attract an spectator. The typical is anywhere but the unique is lacking.
